CH Projects presents the latest addition to the iconic LaFayette Hotel & Club: Lou Lou’s Jungle Room. This multifaceted venue in San Diego promises to deliver an authentic jazz nightclub experience, complete with live music, world-class dining and signature elevated craft cocktails.
Under the culinary expertise of Chef Ted Smith, the menu at Lou Lou’s Jungle Room draws inspiration from classic supper club cuisine. Prix-fixe options are available to complement the live entertainment. Guests can indulge in a carefully curated cocktail program featuring favorites like the espresso martini, Caipirinha, negroni, Painkiller and more, along with a selection of beer and wine. On music nights, the restaurant will host two seatings – an early dinner service and a post-show late-night lounge ambiance.
As a tribute to the golden era of New York jazz clubs, Lou Lou’s Jungle Room is set to revive the historic stage once graced by legendary figures like Bob Hope. Stepping into Lou Lou’s Jungle Room is like stepping back in time to the glamorous era of 1920’s jazz club culture. Meticulously restored, the venue has a fully refurbished historic clam shell stage, complete with its original sunken hardwood dance floor. The space accommodates 580 guests and features a state-of-the-art sound system designed by Brooklyn-based sound guru, Devon Turnbull. The venue’s ambiance is further accentuated by a red fringed ceiling, plushly upholstered banquettes, ornate custom light fixtures and Lafayette’s signature animal print.
Lou Lou’s Jungle Room will host regular live entertainment open to the public from Thursday to Saturday, with additional dates for touring acts and standalone shows. Jazz enthusiasts can anticipate a monthly residency with musician Gilbert Costellanos, while the booking of local and traveling acts will be curated by San Diego’s own tastemaker and club owner, Tim Mays.
